Our Community Music Project

Our Vision

Our community music project will bring people together through creativity and connection. By offering free workshops, studio access, a performance space, and live performance opportunities, we hope to engage with young people from diverse backgrounds across the South Tyneside area, especially those facing disadvantage and hardship. Participants will develop musical skills, build confidence, and form friendships in a safe, welcoming space. We hope this project will reduce isolation, spark ambition, and help young people feel heard, valued, and supported—strengthening community pride and creating a lasting sense of belonging through shared music experiences.

Play

Throughout our music workshops, participants will have free access to our music hub. Which is a safe, welcoming, and well-equipped facility consisting of creative spaces, where our young musicians can practice, rehearse, collaborate, and perform.  Whether their interest is in solo projects or collaborating to form groups, the music hub is where young musicians can connect with their peers, share their passion for music, and learn from each other.

Our events venue is a platform for our young musicians to take their first steps in live performace.

Perform

Through our own dedicated events space called ‘IGNITION,’ We organise free gigs, open mic nights, and showcase events, providing a platform for our musicians to perform and showcase their talents, which will build confidence, stage presence and inspire creativity. It also gives our community opportunities to come and support our young musicians and experience the rich diverse talent we have in our region.

Grassroots music plays a vital role in engaging local as well as national talent. Providing platforms for our young musicians is essential for fostering talent and enabling future generations of artists to reach and inspire listerners.
